Concurrent Town Halls in Various Locations
Parallel sessions open up spaces where you can learn about the projects of your fellow participants from around the world. They amplify the unique potential of all of us being together at The New School. Think of the format of this session as a topically-focused town hall; it is not a traditional panel. Each speaker has 5 minutes to introduce their work. The second hour of the session is dedicated to discussion that promptly engages the people who are not on the stage. Find the presentations in the File Swap folder linked below.
About This Town Hall
Meet a group of entrepreneurial platform co-op founders presenting on enterprises that range in maturity, from emerging to well-established. They hail from as far as Turkey, Belgium, Finland, Spain, and Indonesia. The focus of the discussion is the governance of geographically dispersed independent contractors. Aggregating members and workers on a platform comes with unique opportunities for increasing participation and potentially also for distributed decision making.
The hashtag for this track is #DistributedGovernance!
