The aftershocks of the AI boom make it urgent to understand the logics of the AI supply chain. This workshop explores how cooperative principles can shape community technologies for climate action and AI, while examining five barriers to cooperative alternatives: data, compute, labor, natural resources, and finance. Rather than replicating extractive and unsustainable tech infrastructures, the session asks where cooperative logic and AI supply chains clash, and what community-owned alternatives might make possible.
