Yvon Jadoul

Hi, my name is Yvon Jadoul, and I live in Brussels, Belgium. I serve as the Secretary General of SMART Cooperative, which operates in 9 European countries and almost 40 cities. SMART is a shared structure that supports freelancers by helping them develop their businesses while simultaneously providing social protection. One significant opportunity for the Platform Cooperative Movement is to forge a strong international movement or alliance to counteract capitalist forces and meet the citizen expectations of our century. However, a major obstacle is the challenge of developing a proven business model that is both financially sustainable and successful, and also delivers positive social impact for all beneficiaries. I hope that SMART can help elevate the international platform movement’s voice.
