Bio

T. O. Molefe is an independent writer, editor and economic anthropologist who has been published in the New York Times, World Policy Journal and Africa is a Country, among others. His research focuses on epistemological aspects of economic co-operation, commons governance, solidarity, reciprocity and collective action. He recently submitted his Master’s dissertation titled ‘Post-Apartheid Co-operatives in a Time of Epistemic Coloniality’ to the Anthropology and Development Studies department at the University of Johannesburg in South Africa and is affiliated with that university’s Centre for Epistemology and the Philosophy of Science. He is also Chartered Accountant (South Africa) and serves as co-ordinating director of Collective Media Co-operative Limited, a co-operative of independent African media and publishing workers, producers and consumers. He is based in Geneva, Switzerland.
