Ayushi is a lawyer turned social development professional, currently serving as a Junior Coordinator at SEWA Cooperative Federation. Her work is grounded in firsthand experiences, particularly on women’s issues in under-resourced communities. She began her journey at Teach for India, where she worked with young girls and their mothers, sparking her passion for empowering women. This led her to the SEWA Cooperative Federation, where she focuses on projects that combine women’s livelihood and digital inclusion in the agricultural sector. Ayushi’s past experience includes co-founding a project centered on sexual and reproductive health rights in India and collaborating with early-stage women’s health startups. She has also contributed her legal expertise by assisting at the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, India, and as a senior legal associate at Sewa Cooperative Federation. At the 16th ICA-AP Research Conference, Ayushi presented her research on “Building Robust Local Economies through Decentralization: A Case Study of Women-Owned Agriculture Cooperative in India.”
