Bio
Dr. Waleed Khalil Ahmed is an associate professor of mechanical engineering at the United Arab Emirates University. His work spans additive manufacturing, polymeric composites, sustainable materials, and AI-enabled engineering education. He develops advanced 3D-printing solutions for aerospace, automotive, and construction applications. He holds 43 U.S. patents and has authored or co-authored more than 200 refereed publications. His distinctions include UAEU innovation and excellence awards and three Asian Universities Alliance Fellowships, most recently at Tsinghua University. His research and teaching prepare engineers to address practical challenges creatively and responsibly.
