Vera Negi Zamagni is an accomplished professor of economic history at the University of Bologna. In addition to her academic pursuits, she has also served as the Vice President of the Emilia-Romagna regional government and as a member of the Scientific Board for il Mulino. Zamagni is a co-founder and former co-editor of the European Review of Economic History, and has served as the Secretary General of the Italian Economic History Society. She is also a Trustee of the Bologna branch of the Bank of Italy and a contributor to various professional publications, including the Banca d’Italia Centennial Series. Zamagni is the author of several books and articles on European economic history and holds a Doctor Honoris Causa from Umeå University in Sweden, a Laurea in history and philosophy from the Catholic University of Milan, and a PhD in economic history from the University of Oxford.
