Vasilis Kostakis is a Professor at Tallinn University of Technology, Estonia, and a Faculty Associate at Harvard University’s Berkman Klein Center. As the founder of the P2P Lab, his research explores the intersection of digital commons with local manufacturing technologies, aiming to foster sustainable economies through digitally interconnected, locally productive communities. During his tenure at Harvard, Kostakis has concentrated on developing frameworks for such community-centric economic models. His insights have been featured in prestigious publications like the Harvard Business Review and Aeon, reaching audiences in 16 languages. Additionally, he directs TheOtherSchool.art, a project dedicated to popularizing science, further demonstrating his commitment to bridging academic research with broader societal engagement.
