Bio

Scott Heiferman is the cofounder and CEO of Meetup, an app for making new friends through group excursions. Heiferman began his career at Sony Electronics, helping the company build its first online consumer presence. In 1995 he founded his first company, i-traffic, one of the first online advertising and marketing agencies. He sold i-traffic to Agency.com for $15 million and went on to cofound photo-sharing site Fotolog, which he calls “Instagram 10 years before Instagram.” He recently led Meetup through a major redesign, refocusing the strategy on making the service cool and relevant again.
