Bio
Sara Marcucci is Founder and Director of the AI + Planetary Justice Alliance, a global collective of researchers, activists, and artists examining the social and environmental impacts of artificial intelligence across its entire supply chain. Her work spans AI governance, digital rights, and data justice, with a particular focus on participatory and community-rooted approaches to technology policy. She serves as Chair of the IEEE Committee on AI & Data Centers under the Planet Positive 2030 Initiative and collaborates with Privacy Network on AI governance advocacy in Italy. Sara has advised organizations including NYU’s GovLab, the World Bank, UNICEF, the European Commission, Nesta, and the Open Data Institute. She holds an MSc in Data & Society from the London School of Economics.
