Bio

Saji Gopinath, the first Vice Chancellor of Kerala University of Digital Sciences, Innovation, and Technology, brings a wealth of experience in academia and leadership. His journey includes leading the Kerala Startup Mission and directing the Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management Kerala. With over 17 years at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), he played vital roles such as Dean (Academics) and Dean (Development).

Saji’s academic journey began with a Gold Medal in Mechanical Engineering from Kerala University, followed by postgraduate and Ph.D. studies in Management Studies at the Indian Institute of Science. He transitioned from industry roles at L&T and ONGC to academia.

His leadership at Kerala Startup Mission earned accolades, including being named the World’s #1 Public Business Accelerator at the World Incubation Summit in 2019. Saji actively contributes to national committees on education and technology and has numerous publications in prestigious journals. His achievements include awards like the British Council Knowledge Economy Fellowship, TiE Ecosystem Enabler Award, ISTD Transformation Guru Award, and more.
