Bio

Priyanka Borar is a multidisciplinary artist and designer from India who works with local communities and global organizations to create inclusive futures. Her exceptional visual style suggests that she can significantly contribute to growing awareness of platform cooperatives in the Global South. Priyanka’s work also addresses the issue of digital literacy in forest communities in the global south, where data-driven local governance is challenging due to inadequate literacy rates and limited access to technology. Aligned with the Indian Forest Rights Act of 2006, Priyanka’s project aims to empower forest communities by educating them about their data rights. As an ICDE fellow, Priyanka will continue to advance her work in empowering communities through innovative approaches to data literacy.
