Bio

Nadine Moawad, a feminist activist from Beirut, Lebanon, is a dedicated advocate for a feminist internet and fair labor practices. As a Mozilla Fellow and Culture 3.0 grants program advisor, she empowers Arab artists to have more control over their work and explores blockchain technology to improve the income of artists. Nadine’s disillusionment with the privatization of the internet led her to call for boycotts of major tech companies. Inspired by historical movements, she envisions reclaiming the internet’s public domain and promoting privacy-oriented platforms. Nadine Moawad also co-founded the Dikkeneh consumer cooperative, providing support to cooperatives in Lebanon and developing crisis training manuals. Her work embodies her commitment to equality, empowerment, and social change.
