Mujahid Hussain is a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Islamic Studies at Qurtaba University of Science and Information Technology, Pakistan. His work examines Islamic thought, ethics, economic justice, and the social implications of emerging technologies. He is particularly interested in how Islamic principles can inform debates about artificial intelligence, digital transformation, and democratic ownership. His paper, Platform Cooperatives and Islamic Principles of Economic Justice in the Age of AI, explores the relationship between cooperative digital models and Islamic approaches to fairness, shared responsibility, and the public good. Through his research, Dr. Hussain contributes to interdisciplinary discussions on technology, religion, and social justice, with a focus on building more equitable and accountable digital economies.
