Bio

Matias is a project manager and researcher at Mapocho, an organization focused on creating more and better cooperative entrepreneurship in Chile. He currently works supporting and developing a wide range of collective ventures, expanding the cooperative model in the youth, and researching how to create successful cooperatives in the context of Latin America. He holds a bachelor’s in economics from Universidad de Chile, where he organized spaces for undergraduates to approach critical and alternative theories in economics and business administration. His involvement in the platform cooperative movement stems from the belief that the intersection of workplace democracy and technology is one of our main tools to construct a fairer economy.
