The success of the platform cooperativism movement is critical for the well-being of future generations. In my report from Japan, I will ask if a multidisciplinary, intergenerational, and cross-cultural approach can mobilize the traditional co-operative model to advance a cooperative platform economy in Asia.
Mathias Sager has recently founded the Platform Cooperativism Japan Consortium in Tokyo, a new sister organization of the PCC at The New School in NYC. Mathias’ background is in ICT Business Administration, Education Sciences, Leadership Communication, and Psychology. Mathias has written about the Internet of Things, Big Data, and cooperative data governance for the “smart home.”
