Maïmonatou Mar, co-founder of Gribouilli, leads the only nonprofit supporting nannies in France, transitioning it into a platform cooperative. Together with her mother, the leading nanny, she organizes over 1,500 women dedicated to providing excellent education for babies while combating job insecurity for parents and caregivers. Maïmonatou advocates for bottom-up initiatives and cooperative models to rejuvenate democratic and economic governance. With expertise in systems thinking from her background in battery technology research, she drives social justice initiatives. Leveraging her identity as a French-Senegalese Muslim Black woman, along with her experience in STEM research and social activism, Maïmonatou spearheads innovative solutions to societal issues. Recognized as a Fellow of A. de Rothschild and the Obama Foundation, and a Changemaker with Ashoka CXC, she has been honored by Vanity Fair and acknowledged as a top talent by Paris City (Dist 18) and Positive Planet. She also holds a Ph.D. in Materials Science, as well as Engineering and Master’s degrees in Chemistry.
