Bio

Kiganane is an Entrepreneurship and Business Expert as well as a senior lecturer in Entrepreneurship at The Cooperative University of Kenya. She holds a Ph.D. in Entrepreneurship from The Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, a Master of Science in Entrepreneurship from Kenyatta University, a Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship from Karatina University, a Higher National Diploma in Entrepreneurship from KTTC among other academic qualifications.  She served four years as the Director of Postgraduate Studies, and Chairperson of the Entrepreneurship and Economics department among others. She has over 13 years of University training, capacity building, and research experience in entrepreneurship and business. She has 6 years of experience as a Senior Lecturer in entrepreneurship and has supervised 12 postgraduate students. Kiganane has contributed to the growth of the cooperative sector especially in cooperative entrepreneurship, agribusiness/food security, and other SMEs through skills development and research. She has published widely in the field of Entrepreneurship, and has served on several editorial and advisory boards of peer-reviewed academic journals. She has a great passion for community game-changer projects, and she is involved in mentoring and coaching young people to believe in themselves, transform their mindset, generate unique ideas, identify viable innovative entrepreneurial opportunities, initiate income-generating enterprises, and engage their full potential to make their livelihoods and to realize their dreams.
