Lin Mengwei joins us at the conference representing the Association of Taiwan Food Banks and the Taiwan Food Bank Federation.

The Taiwan Food Bank Federation initially started with the aim of assisting disadvantaged groups by providing essential supplies and services. However, they soon realized that food waste was another pressing issue faced by the Taiwanese population, alongside inadequate food and nutrition.

Today, the Federation not only advocates for the principle of “No waste, no hunger,” but also spearheads a community-wide initiative to redistribute surplus food to those in need. Their work goes beyond mere material assistance, emphasizing that sharing is a profound act of love and care for others as well as the environment.
