Bio
Ilanthenral Kandasamy is a Professor in the School of Computer Science and Engineering at Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), India. Her research spans artificial intelligence, soft computing, and neutrosophic logic, with a particular focus on modeling uncertainty and indeterminacy in computational systems. Her recent work applies these approaches to areas including explainable AI, natural-language processing, online sexism detection, emergency-response systems, and personalized recommendation.
She has published extensively on neutrosophic cognitive maps and related methods for representing uncertain and complex relationships, and her research appears in journals including Expert Systems with Applications, Applied Soft Computing, Engineering Applications of Artificial Intelligence, and Frontiers in Artificial Intelligence. She is based at VIT’s School of Computer Science and Engineering in Vellore, Tamil Nadu. (she/her)
