Bio
Joshua Dávila is a writer and researcher focused on the political economy of blockchain technologies. He is the author of Blockchain Radicals: How Capitalism Ruined Crypto and How to Fix It (Repeater Books, 2023) and the founder of The Blockchain Socialist, a podcast and publication examining crypto through a critical, post-capitalist lens. He is also the co-founder of Bread Cooperative, where he develops crypto applications for solidarity finance.
As an ICDE Fellow (2026–2027), Joshua researches Bread, analyzing its governance, technical architecture, and broader implications for cooperative digital infrastructure. More broadly, he examines the ideological and institutional dynamics shaping contemporary crypto ecosystems.
