A seasoned leader in the microwork industry, Joan Kinyua is a devoted mother and experienced digital worker with more than five years in remote task-based labor. Her deep, lived experience of the challenges faced by data labelers has driven her determined efforts to secure fair wages, dignified working conditions, and greater recognition for workers. As president of the Data Labelers Association (DLA), she brings grounded expertise and a strong sense of purpose to the fight for better standards in digital labor. With clarity and conviction, she works to build a more just and equitable future for remote workers around the world.
