Bio
Asst. Prof. Dr. Jirayudh Sinthuphan is Deputy Director for Academic Affairs at the Institute of Asian Studies, Chulalongkorn University, and Director of the South Asia Studies Center, the Central Asian Studies Center, and the Thai-Bhutan Academy for Sustainable Futures. He holds a Ph.D. in Drama from the University of Exeter and has taught Speech Communication and Performing Arts at Chulalongkorn University since 1996.
His work focuses on regional cooperation across Central, South, and Southeast Asia; cultural diplomacy; international communication; media and international relations; traditional ecological knowledge; climate change; and the informal economy. Drawing on interdisciplinary perspectives from culture, society, and international affairs, he is particularly interested in advancing regional connectivity and sustainable development across Asia. As a member of the Solidarity AI Conference 2026 team, he supports the conference’s academic development and regional partnerships.
