Jared Mark Matabi, a Kenyan currently residing in Saudi Arabia, is in the final year of his Ph.D. studies at the Cooperative University of Kenya (CUK). With two decades of experience, he is a seasoned cooperative development practitioner, having implemented projects supported by USAID, EU, WOCCU, Global Communities, We Effect, FAO, and ILO across Eastern and Southern Africa, and now parts of the Middle East. His expertise spans membership, governance, management, business models, and policy in cooperatives. Jared is excited to join the 2024/2025 ICDE fellowship program, aiming to explore the ontology of platform cooperatives, particularly in Africa, with a focus on Kenya.
