Ismail Hakki Polat is a pioneering figure in Turkey’s digital transformation and blockchain ecosystem. A graduate of Middle East Technical University in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, he began his career at global telecommunications companies including Siemens, Nortel, Ericsson, and Turkcell. Since 2004, he has taught New Media at Kadir Has University, where he founded Turkey’s first New Media University Department and shaped curricula in media journalism at international universities. Polat also serves as a cryptocurrency advisor and mentor to startups in crypto, NFT, and GameFi, while consulting for major media groups. A Bloomberg Businessweek Turkey columnist, he shares insights on new media, blockchain, and digital assets.
