Gustavo Mendes is a journalist with a specialization in economics and an MBA in Communication Company Management. He is co-founder of Coonecta – Cooperativism and Innovation, a Brazilian organization based in São Paulo that aims to help cooperatives become protagonists of the digital economy. Coonecta organized the first international immersion of Brazilian cooperatives on platform cooperativism and the Cooptech Conference. Gustavo believes that cooperatives emerged ahead of their time and that they can be the protagonists of the digital economy, making it more fair and egalitarian.
