Bio


Gowri Krishna is a distinguished clinical educator and advocate for economic, racial, and social justice. She began her legal career as an Equal Justice Works Fellow at the Urban Justice Center in New York City, directing a project that provided legal services to low-wage immigrant workers. She has taught community economic development clinics at the University of Michigan and Roger Williams University. In 2015, she returned to the Urban Justice Center to lead its Community Development Project, aiding worker cooperatives and nonprofits in corporate matters. An expert on immigrant-owned worker cooperatives, Krishna has addressed national law conferences and written extensively on the topic. Currently, she is a professor at Fordham Law School, where she continues to promote social justice through her teaching and advocacy. She also serves on the Board of the Clinical Legal Education Association, co-chairing its New Clinicians Conference Committee.
