Bio
Elisabetta Miraglio lives in Bologna and works as a researcher at AlmaVicoo, the university center for cooperation jointly promoted by Legacoop and the University of Bologna. Her current research focuses on a systematic literature review examining the relationship between cooperation and artificial intelligence (AI), exploring how cooperative principles can guide the design, governance, and ethical development of intelligent technologies.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from the University of Turin and a master’s degree in Communication, ICT, and Media. For her experimental thesis, she programmed a Pepper robot to interact with children with high-functioning Asperger’s syndrome and analyzed the ethical and social implications of this interaction, both in that specific context and more broadly.
Beyond academia, Elisabetta works in a social cooperative supporting people experiencing homelessness, striving to ensure that marginalized communities are included in the democratization of technological development.
