Bio
Dilrukshi Gamage is a Senior Lecturer and Principal Investigator at the University of Colombo School of Computing (UCSC) and a Microsoft Research Fellow. Her research sits at the intersection of human-computer interaction, AI-generated misinformation, deepfakes, and trust and safety. She has been affiliated with the Berkman Klein Center for Internet & Society at Harvard University and the Weizenbaum Institute in Berlin, and was a Visiting Research Fellow at The Open University’s Centre for Protecting Women Online.
Her work brings Global South perspectives to AI ethics and digital safety, with a strong interest in policy-relevant research. She founded the Colombo ACM SIGCHI Chapter in 2019 and remains active in the South Asian and global HCI community. (she/her)
