The flexibility of platform technology enabled work is attractive to people with many types of disabilities. How can cooperatives encourage members to self-identify and request disability related needs for work accommodations? Consumers with disabilities should also expect to be valued, not forgotten.

Debby Kaplan is a pioneer and thought leader in the disability civil rights movement. She received a JD at Berkeley in 1976 is a former Executive Director of the World Institute on Disability in Berkeley. She currently works on Information Technology in the US government, where it is still improbably possible to do good things.
