Bio
Bronwyn Cumbo is a transdisciplinary social researcher and creative practitioner currently working as a Lecturer with the TD School at the University of Technology Sydney. Her research sits at the intersection of human-computer interaction, critical data studies, and design anthropology. It focuses on how industry, government, and communities can collectively design sustainable digital futures in Australia, particularly in relation to data centre expansion. She leads the two-year research project Grounding the Cloud: Co-creating a Sustainable, Community-Inclusive Data Centre Industry, funded by the Australian Public Policy Institute. She designs creative and critical participatory methods that support diverse stakeholders in reflecting on complex societal challenges and co-designing possible futures and pathways.
