Bank Ngamarunchot is Director of the Science, Technology and Innovation Policy Institute (STIPI) at King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) in Bangkok, Thailand. An economist and policy scholar, his research focuses on innovation policy, industrial development, political economy, and the governance of science, technology, and innovation. He has advised governments and international organizations on research systems, economic development, and capacity building across Southeast Asia. His recent work examines the relationship between innovation, inclusive growth, and public policy, with a particular interest in how science and technology can advance equitable and sustainable development. Based in Bangkok, Dr. Ngamarunchot brings an interdisciplinary perspective that connects academic research with practical policymaking and institutional innovation.
