Formed by some of the leading names of the contemporary samba scene in Rio de Janeiro, Balaio Bom has been on the road for 8 years and has been consistently performing in several neighborhoods of the city of Rio de Janeiro— Irajá, Penha, Grajaú and Centro. Every second Friday, one can witness their thrilling performance at Praça Tiradentes, with about three thousand people. The band is made up of Marina Iris, Marcelle Motta, Amanda Amado, Guaracy Cardoso, Tiago Misamply, Jorge Alexandre, Alex Primo, Gabriel de Aquino, and Daniel Aranha.
Balaio has an active YouTube channel. They recently released a music video titled “To Kill Prejudice.”
