Bio

Aranya Pakaphat has worked extensively at the intersection of human rights, labor justice, and democratic development in Southeast Asia. Before joining the Just Economy and Labor Institute (JELI), she worked with international development organizations and with IndustriALL, supporting initiatives on labor rights, gender equality, peacebuilding, and democracy. Her work focuses on strengthening worker organizations, advancing social justice, and fostering inclusive economic systems through research, advocacy, and movement building. She brings substantial experience in collaborating with trade unions, civil society organizations, and international partners to promote equitable labor policies and democratic participation. As a participant in Solidarity AI 2026, she contributes valuable perspectives on workers’ rights, social protection, and the governance of emerging technologies from the standpoint of labor and human rights.
