Bio
Anuradha Ganapathy is a doctoral researcher at the Global Development Institute, University of Manchester. Anuradha made a mid-career transition to development and academia from industry, where she spent over 15 years in the banking and financial services sector. Her research explores community-centric technology and AI, and she is particularly interested in understanding what it takes to make “alternative” approaches to digital development, technology design, and AI work for communities that are historically marginalised or disadvantaged. Prior to her PhD, she worked as a researcher at IT for Change, leading projects on digital inclusion, platform economies, and gender-responsive digital transformation.
