I’ll be discussing the role of Platform Cooperativism as essential infrastructure for alternatives to capitalist economics. Specifically will highlight and connect Platform Co-op models that help build social movements and democratize control over the economy, politics and culture.

Aaron Tanaka is a Boston-based community organizer, grant maker, and impact investor. He directs the Center for Economic Democracy, is co-founder of the Boston Ujima Project, and former managing director of Boston Impact Initiative. He has been a fellow with BALLE, Green For All and Echoing Green, and is a worker owner with Olio Culinary Co-op.
