Waranya Buranakarn (Va) is a Ph.D. student in Communication at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. She examines the cultural, emotional, and technological dimensions of political communication and activism in East and Southeast Asia. Her research interests center on moral emotions, social movements, and political communication during periods of controversy, crisis, and conflict, particularly in digitally mediated contexts. Alongside her academic work, she is a media practitioner and visual artist whose practice explores the intersections of technology, politics, and collective self.
