Bio
Urs Gasser is Professor of Public Policy, Governance, and Innovative Technology at the Technical University of Munich, where he serves as Dean of the TUM School of Social Sciences and Technology and Rector of the Munich School of Politics and Public Policy. His research examines the societal, legal, and regulatory implications of emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence and quantum technology. Before joining TUM, Gasser was Executive Director of Harvard’s Berkman Klein Center for Internet & Society and Professor of Practice at Harvard Law School. He continues to serve on the Berkman Klein Center’s Board of Directors. Gasser advises organizations and governments on technology policy and AI governance and is co-author of Guardrails: Guiding Human Decisions in the Age of AI.
