Bio

Soraj Hongladarom is one of Asia’s leading philosophers of technology and AI ethics. He is Professor at the International Buddhist Studies College, Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University, and a Research Fellow at Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok. Previously, he served as Professor of Philosophy and Director of the Center for Science, Technology, and Society at Chulalongkorn University. His scholarship bridges Buddhist philosophy, information ethics, bioethics, and the ethics of artificial intelligence, exploring how emerging technologies can be aligned with human flourishing and cultural values. He is the author of numerous influential books, including The Ethics of AI and Robotics: A Buddhist Viewpoint, and has played a leading role in shaping global conversations on AI ethics from a non-Western philosophical perspective.
