Bio
Smriti Parsheera is a lawyer and digital rights researcher whose work focuses on the governance of digital technologies and their relationship with society, including privacy, data governance, artificial intelligence, and digital public infrastructure. She previously led the technology policy vertical at the National Institute of Public Finance and Policy in New Delhi and has also worked with the CyberBRICS Project at FGV Law School in Brazil, UNDP India, and the Competition Commission of India.
She holds a PhD in Public Policy from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi. She studied law at the National Law School of India University in Bengaluru and the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School, where she also earned a Certificate in Law and Business from the Wharton School. (she/her)
