Shigeru Tanaka is former Co-global Coordinator at RIPESS, the grassroots network for the promotion of Social Solidarity Economy (SSE). He is currently a member of the Fair Finance Guide Japan coalition examining the impacts of Japanese investments into struggles in the Global South. As a part of this effort, Shigeru analyzed the investment structures that allowed the rapid proliferation of platform apps in Asia. Specifically, he ties Saudi investments to worker exploitation through a Japanese billionaire tycoon, Son Masayoshi.
