Bio
Nandini Chami is Deputy Director and Fellow for Research and Policy Engagement at IT for Change, a Bengaluru-based organization in special consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC). Her work focuses on digital rights and development, gender justice, and the political economy of women’s rights in the information society.
She contributes to IT for Change’s advocacy around the 2030 Agenda, particularly on data for development and the gendered impacts of digital technologies. She also provides strategic support to Prakriye, IT for Change’s field center, including training women’s rights organizations in the use of digital tools and supporting critical education programs for rural adolescent girls. She holds a master’s degree in Urban and Rural Community Development from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences in Mumbai. (she/her)
