Bio
Michelle Anindya is a freelance journalist based in Jakarta, Indonesia. Her reporting focuses on the social consequences of artificial intelligence, labor, and accountability. She is currently producing a three-part series on how opaque AI systems can reinforce unfair practices toward workers, supported by the Pulitzer Center’s AI Accountability Network.
She is also a graduate student in anthropology at the University of Indonesia, where her research examines how AI is transforming religious practices among Indonesian Christians. Her work brings together investigative journalism and anthropological research to explore how emerging technologies shape labor, belief, and everyday life. (she/her)
