Mallory Knodel is a cryptographer and public-interest technologist researching privacy, AI, and digital infrastructure governance. She is Executive Director of the Social Web Foundation and founder of Exchange Point Institute, where she works to advance human rights through technical standards, open infrastructure, and public-interest technology. She co-chairs the Human Rights Protocol Considerations Research Group at the Internet Research Task Force and is pursuing a PhD at New York University on privacy, end-to-end encryption, and AI. She previously served as Chief Technology Officer at the Center for Democracy & Technology and was a member of the Internet Architecture Board.
