Bio

Kyoung Kim is a researcher and innovation advisor working at the intersection of artificial intelligence, digital governance, and data cooperatives in Southeast Asia. Based in Bangkok, he collaborates with Thailand’s AI Governance Center (AIGC) and has contributed to projects supported by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) on responsible AI, digital public infrastructure, and community-centered data governance. His work explores how data cooperatives and participatory governance models can strengthen trust, inclusion, and equitable digital development. Drawing on experience across policy, research, and international cooperation, Kim helps bridge technical innovation with public-interest approaches to AI. He is committed to advancing democratic, human-centered digital ecosystems that empower communities while fostering responsible technological innovation across the region.
