Kunawut Boonyanopakun is Director of the Localized Innovation Department at Thailand’s National Innovation Agency (Public Organization) (NIA), where he leads initiatives that strengthen regional innovation ecosystems and connect local communities with national innovation policy. His work focuses on fostering collaboration among government, academia, industry, entrepreneurs, and civil society to support inclusive, place-based innovation. At NIA, he advances programs that translate research into practical solutions with social and economic impact while encouraging partnerships that connect local innovation with international networks. His interests include innovation policy, technology commercialization, and strategies for inclusive and sustainable development. At the Solidarity AI conference, he brings the perspective of a national innovation leader committed to responsible, locally grounded, and socially beneficial approaches to technological development in Thailand.
