Bio

Gianmarco Cristofari is a Ph.D. student in Global Studies: Justice, Rights and Politics at the University of Macerata, in the Department of Political Sciences. His research examines the concept of the digital platform from an interdisciplinary and systemic perspective, with particular attention to the relationship between law and the design of digital infrastructure. He is interested in how platforms shape governance, rights, and social relations, and how legal frameworks might respond to the political and technical architectures of digital systems. After graduating in European and Transnational Law at the University of Trento, he worked as a consultant in a Rome-based law firm specializing in privacy and cybersecurity.
