Bio

Alisha Butala is a public policy researcher and AI governance specialist whose work explores the intersection of artificial intelligence, sustainability, education, and digital governance. She is a Research Consultant at Future Shift Labs, where she examines responsible AI, emerging technologies, and their societal impacts through research, policy analysis, and public engagement. Previously, she worked with the education ministries of the Governments of Delhi and Maharashtra, contributing to large-scale education reform initiatives, including India’s Desh Ke Mentor mentorship program. Butala holds an MBA and a Master’s degree in Public Policy from King’s College London. Based in New Delhi, India, she focuses on building ethical, inclusive, and human-centered approaches to technology and public policy.
