Ranjitha’s role at IT for Change involves exploring worker/producer-owned platforms as viable alternatives to platform capitalism. Her work, enriched by her academic research experience, delves into the political economy of data and data capitalism, especially in transforming labor-land relations. She is proficient in quantitative and qualitative research designs, with a focus on employing mixed-methods research for sociological enquiry. With a diverse educational background, Ranjitha transitioned from a bachelor’s degree in psychology to working as a neuroscience researcher for two years, before pursuing a postgraduate degree in development studies from Azim Premji University. Her multidisciplinary approach informs her investigation into equitable digital platform models, contributing to the discourse on sustainable digital economy frameworks.
