Gurumurthy Kasinathan is the Founder and Director of IT for Change, an NGO committed to utilizing digital technologies for societal equity. Boasting a diverse career in the development sector with a 34-year tenure, including 15 years in the corporate sector and five in government, he has garnered extensive experience. His academic endeavors include serving as a visiting faculty at the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, where he taught courses in ICT, Education, Education Leadership and Management in their MA program across Mumbai and Hyderabad campuses. In the corporate sector, notably with i-flex solutions Ltd (now Oracle Financial Software Services), he led multi-country projects, enriching his profile with international experience across 30 countries, 15 of which are in Africa. His government stint involved a significant role in Karnataka’s Department of School Education’s Policy Planning Unit, established under a World Bank program. Gurumurthy’s expertise lies in teacher professional development, education leadership and management, and digital technology integration in education. Fluent in multiple Indian languages, he has also been pivotal in leading research, policy advocacy, and field projects, striving to integrate digital technology in education for a broader societal impact.
